Guilty plea enterd in stabbing death

A 21-year-old Mississauga man charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a Brampton roofer two years ago will appear in court again on Nov. 21.
Sheldon Keough is charged in the killing of 28-year-old Paul Medeiros, who died from a single stab wound to his heart during a confrontation on Oct. 21, 2005 outside Careca Sports Bar in Brampton.
Meanwhile, another man charged in the case pleaded guilty today to manslaughter. Christopher Browne, 24, of Brampton pleaded guilty to his role in the death, admitting he killed Medeiros, a man he never knew, during the dispute. Browne, who had been charged with first-degree murder, will be sentenced Jan. 21.
Americo Eduardo Quiroz, 28, of Mississauga remains charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Americo Eduardo Quiroz is represented by defense counsel, Anser Farooq.
