Brampton woman arrested

On Sunday, September 17, 2006, at approximately 10 a.m., police were called to the Huntsmill Boulevard/Longbow Square area for a man lying on the grass, suffering from obvious trauma to the head and body.

Piratheep Tharmakulasingam, 25, of Toronto, was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.

On Tuesday, September 26, 2006, a "Warrant to Enter a Dwelling" was executed at a residence in Hamilton by members of the Toronto Police Homicide Squad, with the assistanceof the Hamilton Police Service.

Sujan Abeyewardene, 19, was located inside the residence and arrested without incident on a Warrant for First Degree Murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 10 a.m., at Toronto East Courts, 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, Courtroom #412.

Maryza Salgadoe, 19, of Brampton, was also located inside the residence and arrested without incident on a charge of "Accessory After the Fact to Murder."

She is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, in Hamilton.
